Halloween Notes

from Mike Simons:

Dear Fall Creek Families,

We will be having our Halloween parade on Monday, October 31 at 12:45 pm. The parade route will begin at the Queen Street playground proceed down to N. Tioga Street, then South on Tioga to Tompkins Street, and then North on Linn Street back to school for classroom celebrations.

If it is raining, we will hold the parade in the gym.

It is wonderful to see parents and caregivers at this celebration, and you are welcome to join us. We just ask that you please donʼt wear masks so that everyone feels safe and so that we know who is on school property.

Some guidelines that we follow follow for costumes include no violent, scary, or gory characters (i.e., anything with body mutilation, violent themes, etc.). Mask should be avoided in order for the children to be able to see clearly where they are walking. All props including fake weapons, wands, broomsticks, lacrosse sticks, etc., should stay at home. If you have any questions about appropriateness of a costume, please call the school.

In thinking about bringing costumes to school, please consider keeping them as simple as possible so that they can be easily put on before the parade and so that parts donʼt accidentally get lost at school.

If you donʼt want your child to participate in this event, please notify the school and we will accommodate your child(ren).

Thank you for making this a safe and fun time for everyone!

Sincerely yours,

Michael Simons
