"Heidi" at Cinemapolis This Sunday

This weekend, the Family Classics Picture Show presents a family favorite, “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” at Cinemapolis. The movie shows at 2pm on Sunday, 12/10.
 
Tickets are $2/kids, $3/adults, and no more than $10 for your whole family!

DANCE PARTY! Fall Fundraiser This Sunday!

Remember to join us on Sunday for the DANCE PARTY! Fall Fundraiser. We’ve had some great rehearsals, and y’all are in for a treat from this band of Fall Creek parents and teachers! The party’s at The Haunt, with shows at 12 PM and 3 PM. (They’ll be about 75 minutes apiece. The Haunt’s bar and kitchen will be open.)

The setlist is made up of songs the kids requested. We’ll be playing tunes by Amy Winehouse, The Beatles, Bruno Mars, Cyndi Lauper, Imagine Dragons, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, OneRepublic, Pharrell Williams, Queen, Rihanna, Sara Bareilles, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, X Ambassadors, and Weird Al Yankovic.

It’s gonna be pretty cool.

Tickets will be available at the door, or in advance at fallcreekpta.com (which, by the way, is our new PTA website, still in development but ready to launch soon; more on that later). Tickets are $10 each or $35 for a family of four or more. If you can’t make it, but would like to buy tickets for someone else to be able to be attend, just place an order online, then forward your receipt to fallshow@fallcreekpta.org and say “I’d like to donate my tickets so someone else can attend!” (And please don’t hesititate to come if you have difficulty affording tickets — we will have scholarship tickets available at the door!)

"Singing In The Rain" Shows at Cinemapolis

The Family Classics Picture Show continues its third season at Cinemapolis with the classic movie-musical “Singin’ In The Rain.” Fun for all ages, this hilarious musical is filled with incredible dance numbers and just the right amount of silliness and romance.
 
The movie plays this Sunday (9/17) at 2pm at Cinemapolis (on Green St behind The Commons).
 
Tickets are $2 for kids, $3 for adults, and $10 for for a family of five.

Family Classics Picture Show: Laurel & Hardy at Cinemapolis

LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT FATHER’S DAY OUTING? Bring the whole family to Cinemapolis at 2pm for an afternoon of laughs with Laurel & Hardy in their 1937 comedy classic “Way Out West.”

“Way Out West” will have all your little cowhands singing with joy, and Dad will love the ticket prices: just $2 for children, $3 for adults (Dad is free!), with a maximum charge of $10 per family. Perfect for all ages, there will be an introduction by David Moreland, along with a Looney Toons cartoon short before the film.

Fun For All Ages -- Classic Silent Short Films!

This Sunday, March 19, at 2pm, the Family Classics Picture Show at Cinemapolis will be showing three wonderful silent movie classics that are great entertainment for the whole family! 
 
• Charlie Chaplin’s THE CHAMPION
• Buster Keaton’s ONE WEEK
• Touching classic THE RED BALLOON
 
Family-friendly ticket prices: $2/kids, $3/adults, $10/family of 5 or more.
 
The total show time is about 90 minutes. For kids with shorter attention spans, it’s very easy to leave between films (or to come a bit late).

Two-Hour Delay on Thursday, March 16

The Ithaca City School District has announced that schools will be on a two-hour delay tomorow, Thursday, March 16.

Superintendent Luvelle Brown also tweeted, “We will reassess road conditions early Thursday morning.”
