Fall Creek School

Helping a Fall Creek family find their cat...

Hello all!
Anabelle and Olivia Shearer’s cat, Sam has been missing for 3 days. He is an orange and white shorthaired tabby, with white markings on the right side of his muzzle, amber eyes and a gray and black reflective collar with a tag and a bell. We would really appreciate it if you could check sheds or garages to see if he’s weaseled his way in there.

Please contact Caitlin Kline at 607-351-5644 or caitlin.e.kline@gmail.com.  Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Caitlin Kline

School Board Seats

Hi guys!   This is Sacha Lasser’s mom (he’s now at Northeast but we still have fond memories of Fall Creek).

I’m trying to put the word out to parents throughout the school district that there are four open seats on the school board this election cycle. This is a huge chance for parents to have a real voice on the school board. And the Ithaca Teacher’s Association and the Working Families Party are both willing to help any parents who want to run with the process of preparing the application and gathering signatures to get on the ballot.

This is a big volunteer time commitment. But it’s also a very important job that really impacts the quality of our children’s school experience. And if you’d like the school board to be more responsive to parent concerns then getting more parents onto the board is the single most effective way to make that happen.

I’m trying to set up a group meeting with the ITA later this week for any parents who are thinking about running. So if you’re interested in running — or even willing to think about it! — please contact me by email at:

Again, I know this is a big time commitment. And I know we all have small kids and jobs and not nearly enough free time as is. But the chance to get FOUR parents onto the school board in a single election is almost unprecedented. This could be a game changer. So I’m hoping people will think seriously about it.

Thanks!
Jessica
