Ice skating, Basketball, and Enrichment

Is your child interested in participating in

ice skating after school or joining an elementary basketball league?

These are long-running programs at Fall Creek which both need a new coordinator.

If you can help out to make either of  these programs happen this year,

please contact the PTA board for more information at:  board@fallcreekpta.org

Also, next Fall we’re going to need a new Enrichment coordinator.

Contact Varya@twcny.rr.com  about that one.

Student Credit Union #3 and Winnie the Pooh

Fall Creek Student Credit Union - tomorrow, October 14th: 7:40 to 7:55

Week #2 of the student credit union is open tomorrow morning in the gym from 7:40 to 7:55. Bring at least $0.01 to depost and continue to save.

We have a new group of student tellers starting tomorrow, so come on out and see who’s there. Please be patient with our new tellers — they’re doing this for the first time and may need a little extra time to figure things out.

It is also the anniversary of the first volume of stories about Winnie-the-Pooh, by A. A. Milne, first published on October 14, 1926.  Feel free to make a deposit in honor of pooh and visit the library for some good reading.

See you in the gym tomorrow. Don’t be late!

Fall Creek Student Credit Union starts tomorrow!

The Fall Creek Student Credit Union reopens for business tomorrow, October 7th. Come make a deposit!

The credit union source site will be open from 7:40 to 7:55 tomorrow, and click here every Wednesday of the school year  (That’s 33 Wednesdays!).

The goal of the credit union is to help your students develop a regular savings habit. The focus is not on how much you save, but on how often. Making a deposit of even a penny or nickel per week can start to add up, and it develops good habits that last a lifetime.

We will have various promotions throughout the year to help motivate you to save. Like last year, we will be rewarding depositers who make it to nearly every single credit union of the year!

If you already have an an account with Alternatives Federal Credit Union (AFCU), please bring your savings book tomorrow. We will have new envelopes. If you have a new account membership packet, then that can be used as your first deposit. You can also sign up for a new account if you don’t have one and still make your first deposit tomorrow.

Please note, we are not a full service bank - we cannot make change, so please bring the exact amount that you want to deposit.  Check in any amoutn are OK.  If you have a lot of change, we have coin rolls that you are welcome to use.

If you have any questions please contact:

Getting excited about the credit union!

The Fall Creek Student Credit Union starts this  opções binarias wiki Wednesday, October 7th, and will be held every Wednesday morning in the gym, from 7:40 - 7:55 a.m. Help your students start a weekly savings habit. Students are encouraged to make a deposit each week no matter how small, even a penny!

To participate in the credit union, your student needs to have a savings account at Alternatives Federal Credit Union. If your student does not yet have an account and wants to open one, there will be new account packets available at the credit union, on Wednesday mornings, or by emailing Daniel Sheehan - ds269@cornell.edu

We also have a new credit union envelope ready for each child who already has a credit union account. These are the envelopes with all the Fall Creek credit union dates for this school year.  We will start handing them out at this week’s credit union. You just need to bring in your savings book. (Now’s a good time to go looking for those savings books, since you may not have used yours since June!)

Remember, the important thing is not how much you save, but how often. No amount is too small. Try to make a deposit every week.
