Student Credit Union #6 - Fall Savings Challenge cont.

Fall Creek Student Credit Union - tomorrow, November 18th: 7:40 to 7:55

Week #6 of the student credit union is open tomorrow morning in the gym from 7:40 to 7:55. 

Tomorrow is week 2 of our fall saving challenge.  There are only 5 more credit union Wednesday’s before winter break.  So, if you make at least 4 deposits before the end of the year, then you will receive a complimentary dollar coin.  Remember, a deposit can be as little as $0.01.  The goal is to keep making deposits and building good savings habits.

Friday Program line-up

Friday Program will be held tomorrow as usual at 8:05 in the school gym. Parents, caregivers, and other members of our community are always invited, and anyone can sign up to present or perform.

Here’s the lineup:

• Birthdays from 11/13 - 11/19
• 4th grader Jasmine will play the violin
• 3rd grader Ruby will read a poem
• 3rd grader Kayden will do a hula-hoop routine
• Ms. Allison will update us on the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF results
• A strings performance will take place with 5th grader Kimily and 3rd graders Alex, Uma, Shavazz, Elijah, Henry, Freya, Maya, Oscar, Faith, Sam, Ruby, Olivia, and Zia.

Jr First Lego League invites 3rd graders to join!

Jr. First Lego League is back at Fall Creek this year and is now open to 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students! This year we will be focused on the theme, Wise Waste, and each group will work toward a team presentation at the Cornell expo on January 30th, 2016.

Children get to:

• Design and build a challenge-related model using LEGO® components
• Create a Show Me Poster and practice presentation skills
• Explore challenges facing today’s scientists
• Discover real-world math and science
• Begin developing teamwork skills
• Choose to participate in expos and showcases

We are looking for student participants and team leaders. Groups will meet once a week at school, not during school hours. No previous knowledge of robotics, engineering, or Legos is needed to be a participant or adult leader and the high school robotics team will be available to work with us as mentors!

Bake Sale Tomorrow---send in loose change!

Hi Folks–tomorrow after school we will have a bake sale with all of the leftovers from the amazing Circus Wunderbar concessions table. Send your child in with some loose change!

PTA Meeting - tonight!

Hello Fall Creek families,

Please join us for our November PTA Meeting tonight!

We’ll serve pizza and salad from 5:30-6pm, followed by a quick meeting from 6-7pm.

We will have a guest speaker updating us on Safe Routes to School.  

We’ll also be working on last minute preperations for our Fall FUNdraiser.

If you have not yet paid for your PTA memberships - please remember to do so tonight - it’s only $7 per person.
