Luke (left), Amanda and Tyler (right), 7, are Fall Creek’s first triplets.
What’s the coolest thing you did in school this week?
Luke: “Playing outside — kickball. I got a home run.”
Amanda: “I liked a book I read. The sun came up. A person sneaked downstairs. He gets food. Then he pretends he’s asleep.”
Tyler: “I liked walking upstairs to the library. And being at Fall Creek with my brother and sister.” (Tyler was at Cayuga Heights last year.)

Kids and parents are pitching in and bringing order to our previously untended butterfly garden in the front of the school. Check out the transformation!
Many thanks are due to Jacquelyn and Aaron Buechel for taking on this project. They are the parents of kindergartener Quinn.

The credit union starts up for the year on Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 7:40 a.m. to 7:55 a.m.
If your child isn’t a member of Alternatives Federal Credit Union yet, you and your child can fill out an application at the table in the school lobby before and after school on:
- Thursday, Sept 25th
- Friday, September 26th
- Monday, September 29th
- Tuesday, September 30th
Parents need to bring the following with them to open an account:
- child’s social security number
- driver’s license (or other photo ID) if they want to be co-signer on their child’s account).
- $3 for each child they are signing up ($1 of this money will be the child’s initial deposit, the remaining $2 are the fees that the Fall Creek PTA must pay to Alternatives Federal Credit Union for opening student accounts.)
- your child (so they can sign the card)
If you can’t make it to school on those days, please e-mail Trena and Jane at creditunion@fallcreekpta.org and they will make arrangements to help you with the paperwork.

We had a great crowd for our first PTA meeting of the year — more than 60 kids and about 60 adults. The parents who lead our events and programs were thrilled to have lots of people sign up. If you couldn’t make the meeting and still want to get involved, don’t worry! Contact the leaders directly (see the program page on this web site) or e-mail Helen Ann at vp3@fallcreekpta.org
Our next PTA meeting is Monday, Oct. 6 with pizza at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting part getting underway at 6 p.m.

What’s the coolest thing you did in school this week, Aiden?
“Making a palm tree with my name on it.” (Mr. Bell’s class read the classic children’s book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and the kids are each decorating a picture of a palm tree and cutting out the letters of their names and lining them up on the tree trunk.)
