Proposed Budget 08-09

Last year we raised $12,550 and spent $7,753.

The top three ways that we raise money are:

  1. The Chocolate Sale. Yes, believe it or not the chocolate sale was the number one way that we made money last year. $2,746.
  2. The Bubbleman. Thanks to David Moreland, the first year’s Bubbleman performance was a huge success. This year our fundraising show will spotlight the talents of David Moreland as Moreland the Magician. $ 2,327.
  3. PTA Directory. Not only is the Directory very useful, the advertising sales inside the Directory help us raise a lot of money. $1,844.

* We also made money on the bake sale during the election, Beauty and the Beast Fundraiser, Cartridge Recycling, Concessions, Gimme Fundraiser, Great Escape, Halloween Costume Sale, Rummage Sale, Spring Indoor Musical Festival and Picnic, T-Shirt Sale Fundraiser, Two of a Kind, the Wreath Sale and membership dues.

The top three things that we spend money on:

  1. Child Care during PTA meetings and school programs. Did you know that the PTA paid for your children to be taken care of during Curriculum Night? Also, if your children have been in child care while you were in the PTA meeting. $2,031.
  2. Arts Programming/Field Trip Committee. Our contribution helps pay for field trips, music performances and artist-in-residency programs. $1,120.
  3. Enrichment Program. The PTA subsidizes our program of after-school classes, which included juggling, beadworking, cartooning, dance and yoga last year. $1,058.

* We also spend money on the Halloween Party, yearbooks for students who didn’t buy photo packages, a donation to the library, Basketball League, December Craft Night, Read-A-Thon, PTA newsletter and publicity, dinners for PTA meeting, student credit union supplies and PTA state and national expenses.
