Credit Union
Every Wednesday morning from 7:40 to 7:55 students can deposit money into their Alternatives Federal Credit Union accounts right at the school gym.
Students can deposit as little as a penny and as much as $10 (in cash, no limit for checks). Parents and fourth- and fifth-graders serve as tellers. Last year, an average of 54 students deposited money every week.
In 2009, the credit union will start up on Oct. 7th.
To open an account for your child, we need:
- child’s social security number
- driver’s license (or other photo ID) if you want to be co-signer on
your child’s account). - $3 for each child they are signing up ($1 of this money will be the
child’s initial deposit, the remaining $2 are the fees that the Fall
Creek PTA must pay to Alternatives Federal Credit Union for opening
student accounts.) - your child’s signature
